Link's Adventure

It's been a while since I did any fan art, particularly Zelda related fan art (the last Zelda thing I uploaded was over a whole year ago!), so here's the doofiest looking Link I've ever drawn in my life running across Hyrule Field. 

I think what I want to do for a little while is weird, experimental fan art stuff (and probably some original stuff thrown in for good measure) like what you see here. Right now, for some reason I've been in the mood to take Ocarina of Time and twist and contort it into some horrid gonky monstrosity, just for the hell of it. I might do the same to EarthBound later, and god-knows-what after that. The reason being is that, if you've been following me since at least the beginning of this year, you may have noticed my general style has started shifting from somewhat bland, semi-cartoony, semi-anime-ish stuff to all-out cartoony (it's a lot more apparent if you could see some of my sketch books, which I might make possible for you sometime in the future). This seems to be the direction my art is taking, at least for now. Maybe it's just a phase, I dunno, but it's fun regardless! 

Also, in so doing, I want to improve some more before I start on any of my other comic projects. The one I want to do first has a particularly cartoony style, and I want to hone my skills just a little more before I really delve into it. Particularly, I want to improve making these cartoony Hanna-Barbara-esque backgrounds, as I feel I still haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. I think I am improving, though. I also want to push these cartoony designs more and more to see just how silly I can make something look while it still being aesthetically pleasing and, perhaps, even beautiful! 

So yeah, expect more of these in the near future if you like. 

EDIT: Most people seem to fall under two categories: some people like wild cartoony exaggeration (aka fun), and some prefer less exaggeration for reasons a cartoon lover such as myself cannot comprehend. If you're a member of the latter group, I made a version that's perhaps more palatable to your delicate sensibilities. Observe:
